1. Open a room and choose permissions
Sign in, create a shared workspace in Work Hub and select the participant role before sharing an invitation. Participants with editing permission start with a default allowance of one pane; the owner can change that allowance and individual permissions. Room membership is separate from the voice feature’s participant limit.
A participant works in their own pane and cannot automatically move, edit or delete another person’s pane. The owner manages the shared workspace. Having an invitation open does not share all of your account’s content or other rooms.
3. Watch connection and audio status
Voice is optional, and microphone permission is requested when you join audio. The initial voice scope is 2–4 people. It uses direct WebRTC connections, which may fail on restricted or corporate networks. Check the connection message and retry; the shared notes can still be used.
Synchronizing the workspace layout is different from seeing a live website view. Shared visual views depend on support and permissions; you do not automatically gain another person’s third-party login session. Check local saving, synchronization and connection indicators separately.
Before you start
What happens to offline changes?
Previously prepared offline opening helps with local work; access and versions are checked on reconnection. If there is a conflict or permission change, inspect the save or recovery state instead of assuming the local copy replaced the shared data. “Saved locally” does not mean other members have received the change.
Are voice or live visuals recorded?
Call recording is not provided by this feature. Temporary session and signaling information is processed to establish WebRTC connections, separately from saved shared workspace data. The privacy page explains which shared data is stored.
