PRACTICAL GUIDE

Connect your workspaces with Work Map

A project does not need to fit into one crowded workspace. Work Map makes relationships between separate workspaces visible. Keep research sources, a writing draft and a production plan apart without losing the reason they belong together.

1. Give each line of work its own place

Name your workspaces by topic, then open Work Map from the sidebar. The map brings related spaces into view. Parent groups such as work and everyday life help you find the right place. Move a workspace to another group when its purpose changes.

For a film project, use separate workspaces for source research, screenplay notes and the production plan. Titles should say what the space contains; relying on names such as “New space” makes a growing map harder to navigate.

2. Make the relationship visible

Connect workspaces that belong together. Use + on a connection to add a workspace linked to the parent and source. The existing connection remains. For example, add a “Claims to verify” branch to your research.

Position and connection are different. Moving a node makes the map easier to read; connecting workspaces expresses a relationship. Open the workspace and inspect its contents to check whether that relationship still makes sense.

3. Choose how much context to use

For an AI handoff, choose the selected workspace or include connected workspaces. Start with a prompt such as “Compare these sources” or “Draft an outline from these sources,” or write your own request. Review the selected sources and scope before sending.

Adding a connection does not automatically send data to AI. A whole network may not be relevant to every question: a production budget need not be included in a literature summary. Removing irrelevant context makes your request clearer.

Before you start

Does Work Map replace the basket?

No. A basket collects individual text, images and links; Work Map organizes relationships between workspaces. Use the basket to gather material and the map to understand several connected lines of work.

Does connecting a workspace make it public?

A map connection is not a sharing permission. Collaborative access is controlled through Work Hub membership and owner permissions. Sending material to an AI tool is also a separate action you initiate.

For a better workspace

We do not watch or record your screen.

May we measure which App of Everything tools are used, active usage time and approximate country? Messages, notes, search text, files and drawings are excluded from this measurement.

No account is required. All features work if you decline. Change your choice in Help & settings.

Scope details and turning it off

Only fixed app identifiers and counts are sent. No page URLs, personal names, Workspace names, messages, notes, files or screens are sent. They are not joined to account, visitor or session identifiers.

Turning this off stops future collection and discards unsent counts. Individual contributions cannot be removed from past totals that are not linked to a person. The administrator sees only apps and pairs with at least 10 observations over the last 30 days; these are not people counts.

Separately, we keep daily page/country totals only, without a person or session record. You can turn this count off below too.
