PRACTICAL GUIDE

Work together in a shared workspace with Work Hub

Research together, work on shared notes and collect sources in a common basket. Work Hub is the shared online workspace in App of Everything. Everyone joins with their own account; the owner controls who can edit each pane. For a meeting, one person can review sources while another prepares the shared note, keeping the selected findings in the same room.

1. Open a room and choose permissions

Sign in, create a shared workspace in Work Hub and select the participant role before sharing an invitation. Participants with editing permission start with a default allowance of one pane; the owner can change that allowance and individual permissions. Room membership is separate from the voice feature’s participant limit.

A participant works in their own pane and cannot automatically move, edit or delete another person’s pane. The owner manages the shared workspace. Having an invitation open does not share all of your account’s content or other rooms.

2. Manage shared material and editing turns

Add notes and sources to the shared basket, reviewing the material the team will be able to access. Shared images are stored privately by the service so authorized members can open them. Adding a personal draft to a shared document brings it under the room’s access rules.

Claim an eligible shared pane while you work, then release it when finished. The editing indicator helps the team see who is working. This applies to shared notes and TXT/Markdown content; it does not change a third-party website’s account or its own editing permissions.

3. Watch connection and audio status

Voice is optional, and microphone permission is requested when you join audio. The initial voice scope is 2–4 people. It uses direct WebRTC connections, which may fail on restricted or corporate networks. Check the connection message and retry; the shared notes can still be used.

Synchronizing the workspace layout is different from seeing a live website view. Shared visual views depend on support and permissions; you do not automatically gain another person’s third-party login session. Check local saving, synchronization and connection indicators separately.

Before you start

What happens to offline changes?

Previously prepared offline opening helps with local work; access and versions are checked on reconnection. If there is a conflict or permission change, inspect the save or recovery state instead of assuming the local copy replaced the shared data. “Saved locally” does not mean other members have received the change.

Are voice or live visuals recorded?

Call recording is not provided by this feature. Temporary session and signaling information is processed to establish WebRTC connections, separately from saved shared workspace data. The privacy page explains which shared data is stored.

For a better workspace

We do not watch or record your screen.

May we measure which App of Everything tools are used, active usage time and approximate country? Messages, notes, search text, files and drawings are excluded from this measurement.

No account is required. All features work if you decline. Change your choice in Help & settings.

Scope details and turning it off

Only fixed app identifiers and counts are sent. No page URLs, personal names, Workspace names, messages, notes, files or screens are sent. They are not joined to account, visitor or session identifiers.

Turning this off stops future collection and discards unsent counts. Individual contributions cannot be removed from past totals that are not linked to a person. The administrator sees only apps and pairs with at least 10 observations over the last 30 days; these are not people counts.

Separately, we keep daily page/country totals only, without a person or session record. You can turn this count off below too.
